The Sylva Gelber Music Foundation has teamed up with Festival Pontiac Enchanté to offer a spring concert and fundraiser for PAL Ottawa on April 25 and 26, 2015. The concert will feature six exceptional young musical talents, all recent Gelber Foundation award winners. Since 1981, the Foundation has provided awards to over 80 gifted young Canadian musicians; annual scholarship funds now total approximately $200,000.

Tickets for the evening of April 25 include a cocktail reception and an opportunity to mingle with the artists—inspiring young musicians who have studied and are now performing at many of the most prestigious schools and concert halls around the world.

Festival Pontiac Enchanté Artistic Director and pianist Carson Becke performs Strauss, Bolcom, Weill and Porter with Ottawa’s own Wallis Giunta; pianist Mehdi Ghazi is joined by violinist Boson Mo, violist Isaac Chalk and cellist Thomas Chartré in Schumann’s well-loved piano quartet. For more information on the concert, including the artist’s biographies and more information on Festival Pontiac Enchante, please see the Festival’s website.
