Meet Frankie Pasap
An Indigenous fibre artist from Whitebear Nakoda Nations Band Treaty 4 Territory, she is Minwaashin Lodge's Culture Program Coordinator and Head of the Zaagigi program for 2SLGBTQ+ youth.She is also a Death Doula, and a PAL Ottawa supporter since 2023. 

Meet Lolo Sirois, a multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Ottawa, Ontario. She is a settler of european ancestry. 

Her practice includes printmaking, drawing, costume and fibre arts, performance, restorative circle processes, as well as advocacy in health and housing. She is greatly inspired by initiatives for liberation, compassionate world-building, and collective action, and wishes to support futures in which women, children and land are centered and honoured.

It is with great fondness that we remember Ned Pitt, a musician, PAL Ottawa supporter and a lovely human being that we lost suddenly last year at the age of 58.

Spotlight On Russell Yuristy - Our May 2026 spotlight artist is a prolific painter, print-maker, sculptor and multi-media artist. Originally from Saskatchewan and a part of the Regina Funk Art movement, his lifelong practice centres itself on trees, fish and animals of all manner, a hearty nod to his upbringing on the family farm. He has been an active and generous voice in Ottawa's artistic landscape ever since his move here in 1985. 

It is with deep sadness that family, friends and colleagues mark the passing of Bruno Schlumberger, street photographer, photographer for The Ottawa Citizen, and consummate artist. With a dry wit, an insouciance for uncomfortably contorting his body in order to get “the decisive moment”, and 6 National Newspaper Awards to his name – more than any other Canadian photojournalist – his legacy lives on in patient photos and stories of his irascible personality. 

Spotlight On Jason St-Laurent - March 2026's featured artist is an exposing artist who is also curator of the SAW Centre since 2012.
