Donations In Memory of Bob Jones

Many are saddened and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Bob Jones (Robert Gregory Jones), beloved member of Ottawa's music community.
Bob was instrumental in the music scene for many decades. He worked at Barrymore's as the promotions manager, booking and promoting both local and out of town bands, and even had his hands in designing posters, t-shirts and other promotional materials. As a senior member of the music community, he was an icon and legend to many. He is deeply missed by all who knew him.

This page was created upon request of Bob's family. If you wish to make a donation towards PAL Ottawa in memory of Bob, please fill out the form below.
PAL Ottawa's mission is to provide seniors in the National Capital Region who work(ed) in the arts sector with affordable housing and personal support in a creative, caring community. Your donations in memory of Bob will go towards helping seniors in the community through our Supporting Cast program, our affordable housing project, PAL Place, which is anticipated to host community programming.

The recent death of Alison Atkins was a painful shock to many of us in Ottawa, particularly those in the arts. Although she was a great communicator, she hid her light under many bushels. The first contribution that we know of is the founding of a theatre group in Whitehorse in the early 80s, when she was working for the Federal Government.
